Horsham Indigenous Parent and Community Engagement Program (HIPACE)

The Wimmera Southern Mallee LLEN (WSMLLEN) is running the HIPACE program on behalf of the Local Aboriginal Education Consultative Group.

The Horsham Indigenous Parent and Community Engagement (HIPACE) Officer is responsible for implementing the HIPACE Program in the Wimmera Southern Mallee region.

The HIPACE Program aims to engage Koorie parents in their children's education and engage the Koorie community, schools and other key stakeholders to develop community-school partnerships.

THE HIPACE PROGRAM

The main objectives of the HIPACE Program are to enhance the capacity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and communities to:

engage with schools and education providers in order to support improved educational outcomes for their children build strong leadership that supports high expectations of Indigenous students' educational outcomessupport the establishment, implementation and/or ongoing progress of community-school partnerships.
