Victoria Legal Aid helps people with their legal problems. They focus on helping and protecting the rights of socially and economically disadvantaged Victorians. They can help in areas of criminal law, family law and some civil law matters.

Legal Services include:

• Duty lawyer services in Magistrates' Court at Horsham, Ararat, Edenhope, Hopetoun, Nhill, Stawell & St Arnaud
• Duty lawyer services in Children's Court, Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal and Mental Health Review Board
• Free legal advice services covering criminal, family and general civil law
• FREE advice clinic every Thursday between 10 am and 12.30 pm – ring to book an appointment
• Casework including general advocacy before courts and tribunals
• Free information about legal aid and the law in general through community legal education
